Bafra Beach in North Cyprus

Beyond Bogaz leading up to the eastern side of the island, just beyond the village of Mehmetcik is the relatively untouched beach of Bafra. However this is shortly about to change as there are now two hotels that are being built there, taking advantage of the clean, calm, quiet sandy beach. There are sun beds available there which on last visiting were free of charge to use - quite a rarity anywhere in the world. The restaurant there serves a variety of local food and does proper, old-fashioned, handcut, Cyprus potato chips - none of the frozen factory rubbish that even the 5 star hotels serve to guests.
