Music in North Cyprus

North Cyprus music is as diverse as the hundreds of musical influences that this culture have. It hosts a number of cultural events and music shows year in and year out. Bellapais Abbey, Salamis and the Lusignan monastery are popular venues. Their music consists of a number of genres including classical, folk and modern music. The Famagusta annual music festival is also a must-see event.

Modern Cypriot music is a combination of classic music, folk beats even Ottoman military music. Even Islamic and Western music has a place in their music inclinations. Young people of North Cyprus also have their role of sharing pop music cultures to the normal music of their land.
